    Prorgramming Cable

Posted by Anthony Wigmore on 9th May 2019

Fast reliable service,I just finished programming my Baofeng UV5R III Tri-band Radio with this cable. It was so easy a caveman (me) could do it.

It apparently has the correct FTDI chipset, and by following the instructions on CHIRP, I now have all of my frequencies -and some I don't need, programmed in.

If you're on the fence about which one to buy, this is THE REAL DEAL. Add to cart with confidence!

USB Programming cable for BF 888's

Posted by Andrew on 17th Mar 2018

It took a while to find the right combination of software and drivers to work properly. Most of my radio stock stock programmes with Win XP but with this cable I had to use Win7 with USB 2 and a Prolific chip driver as well.
Everything works fine now... The amount of general information and guidance on the web is very poor.

    does the job

I bought this for the uv-B5 and once you figure out which file it is you need to install then it's plain sailing from then on.
I had this set up with the PMR band and cts keys plus a couple of 2 meter offset local repeaters in 10 minutes.
If I buy another uv-b5 which I will, then I can push this program in minutes with no configuration.
    What a boon.
