Warranty Policy

Purchase with confidence. We stand behind the quality of our Baofeng radios.

At Baofeng UK, we are committed to providing reliable communication equipment. If you experience any technical issues with your purchase, our dedicated support team is here to help you resolve them quickly and efficiently.

1. Warranty Coverage Period

Radio Body: 12 Months

The main walkie-talkie unit is covered against manufacturer defects and hardware failures for one full year from the date of delivery.

Accessories: 3 Months

Consumable accessories including batteries, antennas, chargers, earpieces, and programming cables are covered for 3 months.

2. What is NOT Covered? (Warranty Exclusions)

This warranty covers manufacturer defects that occur under normal, intended use. The warranty will be voided and does not cover damage caused by human factors, including but not limited to:

  • Physical Damage: Damage caused by accidental drops, crushing, or heavy impact.
  • Water & Moisture: Water damage or liquid ingress on radio models that are not explicitly rated as waterproof (IP67+).
  • Unauthorized Modification: Any attempt to open the radio casing, disassemble the unit, or modify internal hardware.
  • Software/Firmware Bricking: Software corruption or device failure caused by flashing unauthorized third-party firmware or improper use of programming software.
  • Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches, cosmetic blemishes, or gradual battery degradation over time.

3. Warranty Shipping Costs

If a fault develops outside of the initial 30-day return window but within the warranty period, the following shipping rules apply:

  • Sending to us: The customer is responsible for the shipping cost to send the defective item to our UK warehouse facility for inspection and repair.
  • Returning to you: Baofeng UK will cover the shipping cost to send the repaired or replacement unit back to your address.

*Note: If your item arrives defective within the first 30 days of delivery, please refer to our Return Policy, as we cover all shipping costs for initial defective units.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To ensure a smooth and fast resolution, please follow our warranty claim process. Please do not send items back to us without prior authorization.

Step 1: Contact Us
Email our support team at info@baofengradio.co.uk. Please include your Order Number and a detailed description of the issue.

Step 2: Provide Evidence
To help us diagnose the problem quickly (and often solve it without you needing to post it back), please attach a short video or clear photos showing the fault.

Step 3: Receive RMA & Address
Once the issue is verified as a potential warranty claim, our team will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and our UK return shipping address.

Step 4: Inspection & Resolution
Once we receive the item at our UK facility, our technicians will inspect it. If it is a manufacturer defect, we will repair or replace the unit and ship it back to you at our expense.
