Efficient Communication for Teams of Eight

Managing a team of eight often means splitting into smaller sub-groups or covering multiple entry points. Our 8-pack bundles ensure everyone is on the same frequency. These radios are robust, easy to use, and come with swappable batteries to keep your team running through long shifts.

Best Uses for 8-Way Radio Sets

Our 8-pack bundles are frequently deployed in these sectors:

  • Event Security: Ideal for covering main entrances, exits, and VIP areas. High-power models cut through crowd noise and interference.
  • Warehousing & Logistics: Perfect for shift teams. Radios can be assigned to forklifts or picking zones to coordinate loading bay activity.
  • Outdoor Groups: Hiking clubs or airsoft teams often use 8-packs to keep the whole squad connected in areas with no phone signal.

Optimizing Your 8-Radio Setup

To get the most out of your multi-pack, consider these professional tips:

  • Clear Audio: For security work, discretion is key. Add Covert Acoustic Earpieces to your order so your team can hear clearly without disturbing the public.
  • Organized Charging: Charging 8 radios can result in a mess of wires. While the pack comes with individual chargers, many businesses upgrade to our Multi-Unit Desktop Chargers found in the Charger section to save space.
  • Spare Power: If your team works 12-hour shifts, consider buying spare batteries so one set can charge while the other is in use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need a licence for 8 radios?

For PMR446 models, no licence is required at all. For High-Power (5W) models used for business, you need a "Simple UK Light" licence from Ofcom. This one licence covers all 8 radios (and more) for your company.

What range will we get?

In a built-up environment (like a town or warehouse), PMR446 radios cover approx 0.5-1 mile. High-power radios can penetrate buildings better and cover 2-4 miles outdoors depending on terrain.

How do we charge 8 radios?

The 8-pack includes 8 individual charging pods. You will need 8 plug sockets. To tidy this up, we recommend buying a Multi-Unit Charger (which charges 6 at once) plus using 2 individual chargers, or buying two Multi-Unit chargers to allow for expansion.

Are they pre-programmed?

Yes. All 8 radios in the bundle are identical and set to the same factory frequencies. They will talk to each other straight away.

Will the battery last a full shift?

Yes, for typical use (mostly listening, occasional talking), the battery lasts 8-12 hours. For heavy use, we recommend high-capacity models like the UV-5RH or carrying spare batteries.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, all our multi-packs are shipped from the UK with a valid warranty. We support our business customers with spares and advice.
